Whitehead’s Ark has teamed up with Philippine Eagle Foundation to reach out to Bagobo-Tagabawa forest guards of Mt. Apo, Davao. Philippine Eagle Foundation has been successfully running the Indigenous Forest Guards Program among several lumad communities in Mindanao, training and educating them to protect Philippine eagles and their ancestral domains.
Philippine Eagle Foundation will facilitate meetings between Whitehead’s Ark team members and the Bagobo-Tagabawa community, while Whitehead’s Ark will organize a fundraiser for Philippine Eagle Foundation through their web-based virtual reality art project. The artists of Whitehead’s Ark have since attended virtual tours of Philippine Eagle Center, the Foundation’s breeding and conservation facility in Malagos, Davao City.
